For the Woman Who Does It All

Do you feel like you wear several hats at once – parent, professional, PSA volunteer, driver for kids, organizer for household, laundry service, soul service for …everyone? Does it feel indulgent to schedule time for you, to prioritize and take control of your health and well-being? We know it is optimal to fill our own cup first so that we can best support. What a quest, to be human!

The onslaught of information, opportunities, events, emails can bring us to a place of overwhelm and inflammation. Add our ever shifting hormones and humans to the mix – it can be challenging to juggle and still make time for ourselves. Can you relate?! With all of the challenges, there also are many strategies. So, great news!

The first nugget – what you need to feel good in your skin is already within you. It’s true!

How much is going well? How many systems are in sync and communicating within us? How much have you overcome – today alone!? One reason I’ve dedicated the last two decades to learning about biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, meditation, yoga, philosophy, psychology, business…because I get to see on a daily basis how much this work of integration and awareness enhances our lives, improves the way we think, our relationships – with ourselves and each other.

I love hearing how the work we do together improves not only the way you feel – empowered, strong, triumpant – also how much it tanslates into your life – your work and your family. So, give yourself a hug today. Or share a hug or eye contact with someone dear.

The second nugget – do something new.

Over the last few months, I took a tango lesson, spun on the potter’s wheel, climbed a rope (I did it!) and said yes to a friend’s fun ‘backyard cold plunge obstacle course’ event. When we interrupt the habits of our mind, we re-ignite and re-invigorate. Remember when we fell as children and got back up? What might you like to do to move toward play?! Wanna do it together?

Nugget number three – pause.

You don’t need any special tools to do this – anytime, anywhere. Try a 10 second meditation – inhale for 4, pause for 1, exhale for 5. Notice the before and after.

Nugget four – yoga!

From the sweat to the stretch, from the tenets to tree pose – we learn how to navigate challenge on our mat to master our body and mind off the mat, too. Yoga doesn’t take time, it gives us time –  it releases stress and tension, regulates internal functions including hormones and cortisol, and clears our  mind. Leading neurologists and medical researchers tout that if we can improve one thing – only one – it is rest. Moving with our breath, putting down the phone and clearing the clutter makes this accessible at any time. Our productivity levels increase as does the quality of our rest. How is your rest recently?

The physical practice of yoga is geared towards the balance of effort and ease, strength and stretch, and the philosophy is geared to help us practice the opposite of multi-tasking: to focus on one thing, and one thing only. A valuable tool for efficiency and longevity. And with the single-focused mind comes choice: being the boss of our thoughts with the choice to focus on what matters most.

With so much going on in the world and in our lives – how can we remind ourselves and each other to see the good around and inside us? How can we use technology to improve our health and well-being? Where can we make tiny adjustments and incremental shifts to amplify our joy? I continue my education (of course!) and most recently became a certified personal trainer – specializing in optimal biomechanics for our modern, evolving bodies.

The fifth nugget is a good tool.

One tool that has helped me is ‘Inside Tracker’, and now I have partnered with them to bring you a discount! Inside Tracker offers personalized biomarkers, health analytics, nutrition suggestions, and actionable tools with an easy to decipher dashboard. With a simple blood test, take control of your health and keep on track, even reverse aging.

I love seeing small incremental changes make an impact, much like our yoga practice. I fill in any depletions with vitamins, minerals and nutrients so that I can operate at top performance. We are all the athletes of our lives.

I can’t recommend Inside Tracker enough. When you get it,  choose 2 or 4 ultimate bundle and use my discount code REBEKAHPRO25 for 25% off at checkout. This has really helped me improve my body, mind and life and I think it would really help you, too.

Let’s continue to engage in healthy habits and mindfulness to make our community and world a little brighter.

We are in this together.
