With a view of our meditation garden, floor to ceiling windows and seamless transition from our outdoor to indoor space, the spaciousness of the studio offers a retreat right here in the heart of New Canaan, Connecticut.
Our Yoga Teacher Training Academy
Our training programs are nationally accredited and registered with Yoga Alliance, with all 5 out of 5 Star Reviews. We offer 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certifications in the Fall, Spring and Summer, 30 hr Kids Yoga Teacher Training, 25 hr Restorative Yoga Teacher Training and a Mastery Series for Continuing Education.
Sama Yoga Academy trainings offer a sophisticated education on philosophy, movement, anatomy and all 8 limbs of yoga to enrich your life both on and off your mat.
They are sequential, cohesive, clear and thorough and train you to refine and teach, should you wish. You learn to effectively practice and guide Vinyasa, Open Level, Yin Flow, Yin, Restorative and Meditation practices with integrity and equity for all.
Curriculum materials are provided via downloadable manual as well as full access on your Sama Academy Online Learning Platform – including enhanced learning tools – book list, audio guide, visual exhibits, lectures, and lesson plans to deepen your educational experience. To complete your course:
-Present your prepared sequence to one of our lead team in person, via zoom or recorded with students
-Submit your list of 50 sessions completed (25 with Sama)
-Complete your online Exam
Graduate with a certificate of completion as a 200 Hour Certified Yoga Instructor and if you wish, register with Yoga Alliance®.
