Yoga for every body, age and ability.™

We are an inclusive, traditional, accessible yoga studio and an accredited training academy offering classes, workshops and continuing education for all.

Our philosophy: you are unique, and your yoga practice should be, too.

Our teachers meet you where you are and make yoga enjoyable so that you can walk away with a renewed sense of interconnectivity and well being.

Expect an expertly ventilated, sanitized, welcoming environment, Sama trained instructors, all registered with the Yoga Alliance, a diverse and supportive community, alongside lasting imprints.

Join as you are, in this shape, in this body, at this age and with all of your current abilities.

Please contact us should you wish to schedule private lessons, small group ‘pod’ sessions, corporate retreats, wellness events at the studio, your home or office and discuss your individual needs.

To locate us, follow covered parking to the end and enter through our garden. Ample, free covered parking, lockers, sanitizing stations, contactless entry and exit provided.

A Word From Our Founder:

Welcome! My name is Rebekah Jacobs, Founder of Sama Yoga Center, Mindbody Visionary Award Winner 2018 and 2019 and Co-Founder of Sama Yoga Academy, the nationally accredited training program registered with Yoga Alliance®.

My mission is to make yoga inclusive, safe and accessible for every body, age and ability.

Sama was created for you. A space to be as you are, where you are, in the shape that you are in. As a small business owner, my commitment is also for us to give back to our community. I created ‘Sama Dana’ (Dana is the Sanskrit word for generosity or charity), to do just that. We partner with multiple organizations to improve the lives of those in need and to make our acclaimed yoga classes, trainings and workshops accessible for everyone.

With over 10,000 hours of teaching experience, I credit my teachers and YOU for this opportunity to serve. Personal Yoga Certifications include: E-RYT® (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), YACEP® (Yoga Alliance® Continuing Education Provider), Hatha (Ross Rayburn), Restorative (Judith Lasater), Prenatal (Mary Barnes/Jennifer Pettit), Somatic Awareness (Leslie Kaminoff), Applied Psychology (Livia Cohen-Shapiro), Yoga for Youth (Christine McArdle-Oquendo), Pilates (PhysicalMind NYC/Vancouver), Meditation (Sally Kempton). Accolades include ‘Best Yoga Center’ as former director of The Yoga Loft, an assistant teaching certificate from AMI (Association Montessori Internationale), Lululemon brand ambassador, and Ambassador Summit appointee. As a Connecticut native, I hold dear my roles as mother, wife, student, mentor, business owner and teacher.

I am grateful and proud to serve our community, knowing that it might help us all create a shift toward connection and kindness from the inside out.
